ASME U Stamp Accreditation Achieved
ASME U Stamp Recognition
West Midlands based tube manipulation, fabrication and pressure vessel manufacturer European Heathyards are proud to announce the recent award of ASME U Stamp accreditation from the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
The recognition from ASME follows 6 months of preparation and an in depth audit both by ASME and Lloyds Register whereby European Heathyards were required to demonstrate competency in design, generating and implementing manufacturing procedures and showing complete traceability with respect to all project specific variables such as materials, consumables, welder and NDT operative certification within its manufacturing processes.
Simply put, in achieving ASME U stamp accreditation European Heathyards can now demonstrate that its pressure vessel manufacturing process is in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes of practice.
More importantly, it indicates to new and existing customers that European Heathyards are a capable manufacturer of large and small pressure vessels and are adept at working within strict guidelines whilst implementing best practice.

Speaking of his companies ASME recognition, European Heathyards Technical Director Arran Nash enthused.
“European Heathyards are delighted to be channeling our engineering and manufacturing processes through a universally recognised technical standard such as ASME U Stamp.”
“We have for many years operated a quality management system recognised and approved under BS9001:2008 and have also satisfy the intended requirements of European Pressure Equipment Directives standards such as PED 5500.”
“Achieving ASME U stamp recognition will strengthen our existing relationships with the likes of Alstom, E-on, EDF and Veolia as well as sending to prospective new customers in selecting European Heathyards as a preferred manufacturer of pressure vessels and steam boiler equipment.”
